There is NO FAILURE, ONLY FEEDBACK

In the previous post, we have read about Susan Boyle, an inspirational 47 years old woman that prove many critics and skeptics very wrong, and announce to the world that “Everything Is Possible”. She has instantly became an Inspirational source for many. She has proved to us that everyone can succeed, if they have beliefs in themselves.
If we can have the same beliefs they do, we will have the ability to produce the same results in our lives.
However, many a times, talents have been discouraged to pursue their dreams due to negative comments, and “labeling”. Many were labeled as “Failures” whether directly or indirectly.
To be successful, we need to believe that there are “NO Failures”, there is only “Feedback”.
Let’s check out another recent video from Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) and see how 12 years old Shaheen treat turn a “not-so-positive comment/gesture” into a “Feedback” to give a world class performance.
Many of us (even adults) would crumple at the gesture given by Simon Cowell (one of the judge).
Shaheen proves everyone wrong by believing he can do it!
PS: Let me know your thoughts on it. I would love to hear from you.

A Great Book with Great Tips to Live Your Life!

Over the last week or so, i was reading a No.1 New York Best-Seller on Self-Improvement known as “The 4-Hour Work Week” by Timothy Ferriss.
Really an awesome book. It empowers us on escaping the 9-5, Live Anywhere and Join the New Rich, where we live everyday to the fullest. We do not believe in Retirements when we are so rich at 5o years old. Instead, we believe in having many many mini-retirements throughout our life.
Who wants that? Highly recommended book for those that want more life than the 9-5 work week, especially for those that aspire to become an entrepreneur.
I seldom recommend books to others, but this one is really special!
Go Get The Book Now! You will be as happy as me. =)

I have been reading couple of self-development books and recently came across several books from Paul Arden. I find his books very interesting and in fact, very straight to the point on how our mind process our thoughts.
We are want to be Great, but somehow, something seems to hold us back somewhere. His books causes some realization on my part, and i would highly recommend his books - which are so easy to read, but yet so Impactful.
Each book of his can be completed by a taxi ride, so get buy or borrow from library and read it!
Here is one of the pages that are adapted from his book:

Tips for Personal Development
by sean on July 20, 2008
in Success Secrets, The Right Attitudes
Halo Readers!
Today we shall cover a little bit of Personal Developments. Personally, i am one that seeks active Personal Developments. Instead of waiting for someone or organization (if you work in one) to develop you, why not invest in yourself with education.
I love to read self-development books (in all areas: Motivation, Business, Sales, Negotiation, Mind Mapping, Creativity, Relationships, etc) as well as attending seminars, conferences and workshops.
Here is 3 main factors that we need to keep in mind if we start to self-develop:
1) Learn Everyday
It is important to block out time everyday to learn something that will move you forward each day in life. It is important to make continual learning a priority in your life everyday – whether it is listening to an audio or video program or reading a book. The compounded effect over time, even it is only 30 minutes a day, will create massive and awesome results in your life long term.
If you read only 30 minutes a day for an entire year, you will have learned more about improving your life in one year than the average person will learn in their adult life. That slight edge and advantage will make all the difference in creating success in your life. Learning is certainly the foundation for all success. It is actually where true success begins.
2) Stay In Peak Psychological State
In order to create power results in your life, you must learn to create a powerful psychological state. When you are tired, lethargic and feel down, it will be very difficult to create positive results. If you want to be in a leadership role, that is even more important. You need to realize that people want to follow a leader who has energy, motivation and enthusiasm.
If you are feeling down or tired, go do something like moving your body, going to the gym or a run, or do whatever you need to get your blood flowing. This is because when you change your physiological state, you also change your psychological state.
3) Dream Big!
Thinking and dreaming is free-of-charge. So why not think and dream Big! Too many people played too safe and tip-toe through life quietly so they can arrive at their grave safely. My personal belief is that at the end of your life, when you have finish your journey through this world, you should be feeling at peace and ease, and fulfilled by having pursued your dreams.
At the end of one’s life, no one ever said they were glad that they have played it safe. Many in fact will have regrets in life why they did not do something. We were are created equal and have the same ability to achieve greatness.
Remember – Do not let anyone steal your dreams away! A life worth living is a life worth fighting for your dreams.
Here is a quote from the famous Theodore Roosevelt:
“Far better is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much because they live in the grey twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.”

Truly Inspiring & A Form of Leadership

For those those follow English Premier League (EPL) Soccer, this post will be very familiar to you, especially for those that supports either Manchested United (Red Devils) or Chelsea (Blues).
All eyes are on the last match of the EPL season to see if Man U or Chlesea will clinch the title. I certainly believe Man U will clinch the title, not just because i am a true Man U supporter but the passion and comittment that the whole Man U team is displaying this season.
However, i would like to put my attention to one of Chelsea’s player - their ‘favourite’ son of Stamford Bridge (Chelsea’s stadium) - Frank Lampard. During last week’s Champion League semin-final game against Liverpool, Frank struck the most poignant and significant goal of his career, driving home an extra-time penalty to help take Chelsea to their 1st ever Champion League Final.
As he wheeled away in celebration, a tearful Lampard sought out his father in the stands, sharing an emotional moment a week after his beloved mother Pat passed away due to pneumonia. Many have not expected him to even play this important game as he was still mourning for his mother, not to mention him taking up the responsibility to take the Penalty shot when one of Chelsea’s player was fouled in the penalty box. He could have left that spotkick to his other team mates that have performed so well in such spotkick over last months, but he took up the challenge, the responsibility to score the all important goal.
He was certainly Inspirational and Motivating. He was so committed to his profession and role that must have certainly put his mother at ease towards her journey to heaven.
When the final whistle went, all the chants and thoughts were for Lampard. This are the words from his manager: “Frank is a brave man. He was very close to his mother. What happened to him it was not easy to take this decision to play the match and taking that nerve-cracking spotkick, but he played well and is a little bit happier now.”
Frank has certainly did his mum proud and is really a role model - a model that inspire your to be at your best even when the whole world seems crushing down.
