Happy 43rd National Day Singapore !

Lyrics:

Have you seen a star,
One that guides you no matter where you are?
However vast the sky may be
Or dark it seems
You can be sure, it’s always there for you and me

Have you heard a song,
One that moved you, one that made you sing along?
Your dreams and hopes will all come true
If you believe that every vision begins with you.

Shine for Singapore
This is your song
Deep inside your heart where it belongs
It’ll always stay, strive for your goals.
You will achieve with visions so bold.

Shine for Singapore
This is our song
Reach out for the sky, far and beyond
As one we’ll stand, we’re Singapore
It’s here that we belong

Have you heard a song,
One that moved you, one that made you sing along?
Your dreams and hopes will all come true
If you believe that every vision begins with you.

Shine for Singapore
This is your song
Deep inside your heart where it belongs
It’ll always stay, strive for your goals.
You will achieve with visions so bold.

Shine for Singapore
This is our song
Reach out for the sky, far and beyond
As one we’ll stand, we’re Singapore
It’s here that we belong

Nowhere i’d rather be, this is home to me
This star shines strong and free

National Achiever Congress (NAC) 2008 - by Joe Girard

Joe Girard
Presenting on: “How to Sell Anything to Anybody”

Joe Girard started very young working while he was studying at the same time, and quited his studying at the 11th grade when his principal call him with a name that he dislikes - in fact he felt that he should be called by his proper name, so that there will be pride in him.

Over the years, Joe had many different jobs, but all did not went well with him. He had been job hunting without success, but on that day he pleaded with the sales manager of a Chevrolet dealership to hire him as a salesman. The manager was reluctant because of his lack of experience and traditionally slow sales in the month of January, but Joe stated that he would only take a desk somewhere in the rear of the dealership and count on the telephone to provide prospects. That evening he sold his first car and borrowed $10 from the manager to bring a bag of groceries home to his family. In his second month he would sell eighteen cars and trucks and was beginning to feel he had a secure breath. Much to his amazement, the owner of the dealership fired him for being too aggressive. Some of the other salesmen had complained.

At this point, Joe knew he could sell cars. He had proved it to himself, and was ready to prove it to the world — including Antonino Gerard, his father (which abuses him emotionally and physically). Joe quickly found employment at Merollis Chevrolet in Eastpointe, Michigan, working at what he did better than anyone else in the world, selling automobiles!

For 12 straight years Joe sold more cars and trucks than any other salesperson. More as an individual than most dealers sell in total. No other salesperson has ever attained this title for more than one year, and not for both cars and trucks. During his fifteen year selling career, he sold 13,001 cars all at retail - no fleet, wholesale or used cars*.

I missed out on buying his Sales Books during the NAC as they were all sold out. Seems like i will have to purchase it online from amazon since most major bookstore in Singapore do not carry much of his books.

“This book holds the keys to your wealth. Don’t put it down. The keys will remain in this book until you open it and take them out. You can open it now, but to take out the keys, first you need to find them. The keys are in a story behind the story: A lesson behind the lesson. That means to find the keys, you need to become better at seeing. What you see will always be what you get. Each time y ou read the book, you will see a little better until, one by one, you take the keys out and use them to unlock the doors to your wealth. If you work hard enough, in time you will find the final key. This is referred to throughout the story, and it is the biggest key by far. It unlocks the door to wealth beyond words. Time is your greatest asset, and your wealth awaits. So don’t waste another minute. Don’t question. Just read this book. Read it now. Read it and grow rich….”

Rising up whenever you seems like failing - The Best Dance

During the second day of the National Acheivers Congress 2008, the MC of the event showed us the following video called “The Best Dance”. The video shows a guy who lost his leg dances with a girl who lost her arm in a car accident. The dance won first prize in annual dance competition on CCTV9 international, Beijing. At the end of the video, majority of the participants were clapping and many were in tears. My eyes were also wet at that point. It is truly Inspirational. It shows us that no matter what difficulties we faced in life, we should treasure our life and make the most out of it. Life is Beautiful. Love it and Live It.Courage:
Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail

National Achiever Congress (NAC) 2008 - Day 2

Today was an intensive day at the National Achievers Congress but i certainly learned a lot from the world class speakers today.

The day started at 9am with Joel Christopher presenting to us on Internet Marketing related topics on Building Your Master List. Well, he is known to be the “Master List Builder” not for nothing over the years. Can really see his strategies on building up a Master List to sell in world wide web. However, his presentation was not so smooth this morning, marred by several technical issues (powerpoint, sequence) that certainly disrupts his speech. But i can really see a wealth of knowledge in List Building in this guy. For those interested to excel in Internet Marketing, go to him as we know that “Money comes from the length of the list you have”.

After the break, we have a standing ovation welcome for Mr T. Harv Eker, well recognized as the Best Trainer in North America. For those that have been following this Succcess Blogsite, you would have noticed that i am in fact his Protege. What a great Mentor i have here! I have attended his Millionaire Mind Intensive (MMI) 3 days seminar last year which changed my money blueprint drastically. Earlier this year, i have also attended his 5 days workshop on Train The Trainer which was life changing and has a great impact on my career path. He is simple The Man, Mr T. Harv Eker. By the way, i will be attending another of his life-changing workshop called “Guerilla Business Intensive” in June 08.

Ever heard of anyone that are able to sell 5 brand new cars per day for 365 days a year? We are talking about Retail Sales which means people come into showroom to buy one car at a time, and not Wholesales. Yes, there is a man in this world that did just that and he is also the holder of the Guiness Book of World Records for the past 12th years. He presented his speech on “How to Sell Anything to Anybody” and had many stunning moments in that short 2 hrs session with us. One of those is to show us what it takes to be The Best in Selling. Courage Desire and Determination is important and he demonstrated that by climbing high up the ladder - wow…let’s stand up for a guru that is no more younger..

The day ended with Mr Adam Ginsgerg sharing with us on being a eBAY master. He taught us “How to Buy, Sell & Make a Fortune Using eBay”. This is the second time i hear him presenting and i believe he knows a great deal about eBay, and is always kept abreast of the ever changing rules of eBay. Unfortunately, he did not share that much with the audience, and for those that really want to know more about eBay and make a decent living has to sign up with his programs.

That’s all for the day. I will continue to share with you more on the speakers and what i know and learned from them in my later posts.

National Achiever Congress (NAC) 2008 - Day 1

Just came back from Day 1 of the National Acheivers Congress (NAC) 2008 happening in Singapore Expo, Singapore. Awesome event! This is the 1st time that i have attended the much acclaimed National Achievers Congress organized by Success Resources.

I have heard about this event but have all along been skeptical about such motivating seminar and workshops. This year is the 16th times that NAC has been conducted in Singapore and i am glad that i have attended it. Truly inspirational stuff from the speakers that are invited from overseas.

National Achiever Congress (NAC) 2008

nac-2008.jpg

Hi,

This will be my first time attending the National Achievers Congress (NAC) and i am excited about it.

I have been to quite a number of seminars and workshops such as:

  • World Internet Summit
  • Internet Incubator
  • Anthony Robbins Unlimited Power
  • Joel Baueur mini Workshop on Persuasion
  • T. Harv Eker’s MMI and Train The Trainer

          and many more..

But this is the 1st time that i will attend a congress where i will get to hear more than 1-2 speakers (or GURUs) to share with us their winning strategy towards success. Many will be touching on Mindset and i certainly believe this is the main pillar towards success.

Anyhow, wonder what NAC is all about? Let me throw some light as below: Read more

Outrageous Night @ Train The Trainer Program

There is this Outrageous Night in the Train The Trainer 5-days Intensive Program, where we were asked to choose a song that we like to perform on the stage of about 200 people that we don’t know. And we are not suppose to keep it safe. We are in fact to make it as outrageous as possible, such that even our mum would be ashamed to see us in that performance (in case they manage to get the tapes). The whole purpose is to get ourself out of the comfort zone, so that we can break the limits in what we are going to do - which is to become a Top Trainer in this universe. Awesome event!

I was dressed in a silly way, and performance the dance and song od Mambo No. 5 by Lou Vega. The pressure was so intense and the clapping & cheering was so loud, that i actually forgot about the lyrics. I think their idea is in fact to get us still moving and performing to our best even at instance where things become uncomfortable and unfamiliar. Check out the video below of my “silly” performance. This is Mambo No. 5 ……..
